Galapagos Seaman Journey experience
Seaman Journey Experience
I had great expectations when I arrived at the airport in Baltra and that in a few minutes I would get to know the Seaman Journey, but the experience began when the yacht guide holding a banner saying SEAMAN JOURNEY, he could distinguish the passengers of the Seaman Journey by the pin we had. Once we all were together he welcomed us and showed us to the ride, that would take us to the Vessel. Everyone noticed the experience and professionalism that this person had to handle this group. As we walked the stretch of the Itabaca Canal to Puerto Ayora the guide gave us to know the rich flora and fauna the Islands possess and especially the Upper Santa Cruz. Very charismatic he asked us to present ourselves to each other and spread the good cheer that the guide of the Seaman Journey had. This stretch we traveled in a van, which was very comfortable. The image of Puerto Ayora where we got off the bus and head to the pier looked like a scene from the best films because it was so cute, it seemed the sky was painted by someone, had a very nice turquoise color, but that was not all, once we took the pangas to get to the Seaman Journey, could see a boat that distinguished on the crystal clear waters, it started to seem like a dream ....
Once we got to the Seaman Journey the Captain and his crew welcomed us. Later they showed us the cabins where we would stay in during our trip visiting the Islands. I could not contain my amazement over the infrastructure of the yacht. Outside it looked really good, but inside it was something spectacular. The cabins are well designed and so comfortable that I felt at home. Once it was time for lunch, they served it on the outside deck. The food was excellent, there was something for everyone and the quality was the best. Food increasingly amazed all the passengers, that every time we met commented on the happiness they felt to be well catered with a personal service, passengers loved the service that the crew provided and very kindly attended all requirements of those who were on board. Later we went to see the so famous turtles in their natural state, I could not believe that I had one of them so close, it was a unique experience, like all our visits on board of the Seaman Journey. The last night we were given a special farewell dinner. The next morning after the last visit, we could understand the importance of conserving the environment, and what could affect such wonderful Galapagos Islands and the many species that live here, which incidentally is the ideal complement to make Galapagos Islands a dream on earth.
